Following the establishment of a branch in the area, St Vincent de Paul Charity Shop will open its doors at Market Street in Granard town on Saturday next, March 16th, at 12 noon.

“This will cater for the needs of Granard, Abbeylara and Mullinalaghta areas,” said Marett Smith, branch president. “We will open our charity shop on Saturday next 16th March at 12 noon in Market St. Granard. It will be called ‘New 2 U’.”

She congratulated to the pupils of Sacred Heart NS who came up with this name.

“We would greatly appreciate clothing bric-a-brac, etc. for the shop. Items can be handed in to Sacred Heart NS any day before 3pm. Alternatively you may call us on 085-1503985 and we can arrange to have the shop open in the evening for deliveries of clothing.

“We thank Tom Pettit who has generously provided us with a venue for our shop and Tom will cut the ribbon on opening day. A bucket collection will take place on the streets in Granard all day Saturday to coincide with the opening. .We look forward to meeting you all at the opening on Saturday.”
