Mother who appears on RTE gameshow returns to find house robbed

A well known Co Longford Irish dancing school teacher has told of her horror at returning to find her home robbed just hours after appearing on popular RTE gameshow ‘Winning Streak’.
Susan Bransfield said she could not believe her eyes when she discovered raiders had made off with some of her most prized personal possessions on the same day she won over €50,000 in cash prizes.
The mother of four also spoke of how the events of the past week have left her two youngest children, Shannon (15) and Conor (10) living in fear.
“They won’t stay in the house now on their own,” she candidly revealed. “I have tried, but how do you tell a 10-year-old they (raiders) won’t come back?”
Having spent much of last Saturday (January 14) in high spirits, excited at the prospect of adding a minimum of €20,000 to her bank balance, Mrs Bransfield was staying remarkably upbeat as she spoke with the Leader earlier this week.
Reliving the events which led up to her appearance on ‘Winning Steak’, Mrs Bransfield confided she had contemplated making a quick stop-off upon her return home before later joining up with friends to witness the recorded version on television.
This, she hinted, may well have either prevented or disturbed those who eventually carried out the brazen raid from ransacking her home.
