Lecture on John Feeney, tenor

County Longford Historical Society’s next lecture will take place on Thursday, 6 December, when Harry Bradshaw will speak on the life of the tenor John Feeney.

This promises to be a most enjoyable evening that will include the playing of some recordings of Feeney. Mayo native John Feeney (1903-1967) did not achieve the fame of John McCormack, but in recent years his work has been highlighted. Most of that is due to the efforts of Harry Bradshaw, formerly a radio producer in RTÉ. Please note that the lecture begins at 8 pm. As usual it is free and open to all.
