Funerals of accident victims take place today

The funerals of the two men who died in an accident at Connacht Gold hardware store on Tuesday are taking place today.
Drumlish native Sean Mulleady and Rooskey man Paddy Gaffney both died when a wall collapsed in the hardware store on Tuesday afternoon.
Huge crowds attended the removal of Sean Mulleady, Creenag at St Mary’s Church Drumlish last night. His funeral will take place today, Friday, after 12 noon Mass. Burial will take place afterwards in New Cemetery. Sean Mulleady was a father of three and was a member of one of Co Longford’s best known families. He is survived by his wife Teresa and three children, Claire, Mark and David.
Meanwhile Paddy Gaffney from Cloonshannagh, Rooskey was removed to the Sacred Heart Church, Whitehall yesterday evening and his funeral will take place today at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Patsy, son Johnny, daughter Denise, extended family and friends.
The Health and Safety Authority is currently investigating the tragic accident in which the two men lost their lives. One person is still in hospital following the accident.
