Drumshanbo local news Sept 10
TOWN TWINNING: At the end of September, we are expecting a party of 30 people to arrive in Drumshanbo from Locquirec in France.
The party will include 22 children (age 13/14 years) and 8 adults. They will visit from the 25th of September to the 2nd of October as part of the Drumshanbo Twinning Project. The children will be involved in the Vocational School thanks to the Principal Mr Marty Fallon and various activities around the locality. The Twinning committee would like to thank everyone who has invited these guests into their homes and we are all looking forward to a memorable experience for all involved. SPEECH & DRAMA COURSE.
A six week Course in Speech and Drama will commence on Tuesday next (14th) in the Mayflower Community Centre from 7pm to 8.30pm.The Course will be conducted by Frank Cadam ,Ages 8-14. Enquiries: 087 9469356.
WALK FOR BTHAR
On Saturday the 30th of October, Bthar invites you to "come walk for us" through the picturesque countryside of North Leitrim & Roscommon.
Starting at 11am on the shores of Lough Allen and heading for the hills, the walk will continue for 10km capturing the breath-taking views the West of Ireland has to offer coming to an end once again on the shores of Lough Allen followed by lunch in the Ramada Hotel, Drumshanbo.
