Cyclist knocked from bike in Longford town
Gardaí in Longford town have launched two investigations following a number of road traffic collisions in the town yesterday.

Gardaí say that the cyclist was not wearing reflective clothing at the time of the incident nor was there lighting on the bike; however, an investigation into the incident has since been launched.
Earlier on Thursday, a hit-and-run incident occurred outside St Mel’s Cathedral. The Leader understands that two cars collied and that one of the vehicles subsequently drove away from the scene. Gardaí confirmed that they later caught up with the vehicle and an investigation is currently pending.
