Longford marathon: Congratulations to all the participants in the Longford half marathon and 26 mile marathon which took place on Sunday last.
This annual event is in its 9th year and creates a great buzz of excitement and activity in Longford town and surrounding town lands as the walkers & runners pass through.
VOLUNTEERS
Clondra water station volunteers say a big thank you to the loyal people in the Slieve and Rynn areas of Clondra who turn out every year to man the water station and cheer on the marathon runners. Jimmy Rattigan, Larry Farrell, Joseph Casey, and Frank Casey, Bernie , Caroline, Bridie and Lee Cox, Paudge Casey and Tom Burke.
FUIND YOUR GLEE
Lisa Fox will be running Glee Club in Clondra Community Centre every Saturday from 18th September from 11.30 to 1pm.
Youth of all ages are very welcome to join. Glee Club will consist of singing, dancing and drama. Members can participate in one or all of the activities. For booking/info on cost please contact Lisa on 087 7619605.
