Burglaries reported

A number of burglaries have been reported in the Longford town area over the past week. A house in the Demesne area of the town was ransacked sometime between 11am and 7.30pm last Thursday after a rear window was forced open. In a seperate incident, an Xbox game console was stolen from a house at Ardan Alainn in Farnagh between the hours of 3am and 10am on Sunday morning.

Another break-in was reported at a house at Clooneena in Ballymacormack between 2.30pm and 10pm last Saturday. A rear window of the property was forced open and thieves escaped with two Samsung flatscreen televisions and a gold blue-faced gents watch.

Meanwhile, a car was stolen in Longford town on Thursday evening. The blue Audio A4, registration number 05 LD 1199, was taken from the Mall Complex car park sometime between 6pm and 7pm.
