Ballymahon students progress in Childline All-Ireland Talent Search

Sarah Hanley and Wayne O’Malley from Ballymahon Vocational School are through to the semi-finals of the Childline Shchools All-Ireland Talent Search, after overcoming stiff competition to finish in third place at the Leinster final.

Sarah, who is from Ardagh, and Wayne from Ballymahon will now progress to the All-Ireland semi-finals, which will be held in Castlebar on Saturday, February 23. The top three acts on the night will appear in the final at the Helix Theatre in Dublin on March 9.

Also appearing in the semi-finals will be Justin Maguire from Carrickedmund.

The competition is being held to raise funds for Childline, with €1 from every vote cast going directly to the charity.
