SCOR NA NOG

Clonbroney had great success at the Scor county final. We won in 3 categories, figure dancing, instrumental mnusic and recitation. We also won "the club of the year" title. While our ballad group and novelty act were not successful they performed extremely well on the day. Thank you to Jacinta Reynolds for training the figure dancers, Catriona Reynolds and Aoife Mollaghan for training the ballad group and Deirdre Duggan and Mary Brady for training the music group. We wish Margaret Farrell well as her term as county Irish and cultural officer comes to an end. A lovely presentation was made to Margaret at the county final and many well deserved kind words in recognition of her huge contribution to scor in Longford were said. Overall the youth of the parish did everyone proud on Sunday and are a credit to their mentors and their parents who are extremely committed and worked very hard together to achieve this . Well done to all.

We now go forward to Leinster semi final in Ballymore Co Westmeath on Sunday next at 3 o'clock. It is hoped to organise a bus to allow peopple to come and support this wonderful group of youngsters.
