HARVEST THANKSGIVING: This special service will be held in Ballinagh Mission Church on Sunday 12th September at 8pm. Preacher Rev Dean Ferguson with singers the Revelation Trio. A warm invitation is extended to all.

FAILTE

A warm cead mile failte is extended to popular Ballinagh based garda Joe O'Connor who has resumed duty following a serious accident received while off duty and has now made a complete recovery. Garda Joe who hails from Ballintubber Co Mayo was an outstanding gaelic footballer who during a distinguished playing career gave sterling service to his native Mayo and in the red and green jersey turned in many memorable performances for Mayo teams in all grades. Joining an Garda Siochana while still in his teens he took up duty at cavan garda station. Quickly recognised for his skills as an outstanding footballer the local Cavan gaels club quickly endeavoured to secure his services. Throwing in his lot with the gaels club Joe played a major part in the clubs success in winning senior county championship honours. Following a distinguished playing career garda Joe entered team management where he was equally successful guiding his club to championship success. His countless friends join in wishing this very distinguished sportsman who is currently based at Ballinagh garda station – continued success.

MINOR CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to the Ballinagh minor footballers on their success in winning the Division 3 championship.

VINTAGE CLUB

Ballinagh and district Vintage club are holding an Irish night and presentation of cheque to Aware in Cronins prermises on Saturday Sept 11th. Music by local talent with guest artists Anton MacGabhann. The Vintage club will hold a tractor run to Sheelin Nursing home on Sunday Sept 12 leaving the community centre car park at 12 noon and travelling via Crover House. Everyone welcome.
