WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to Niall & Jacinta Baxter Killucan on their recent wedding which took place in St Brigid's Church Ardagh on Aug 28th .

Jacinta was attended by her matron of honour her friend Sherina and bridesmaids, sisters Deniese, Shauna & Dorothy while Niall was assisted by his groomsman , his brothers Ray and best man brother Aidan, friend Damien & brother in law Declan. The celebrant was Fr Michael Murtagh assisted by Fr Pat Lennon & Fr Tom Healy. Reception was held in Crover House Hotel afterwards. All danced to the 5th Avenue Band & disco into the early hours of the next morning. Niall and Jacinta are honeymooning in Cairo on Safari. Wishing the happy couple a long and happy life together.

BOWLS

Bowls resumes after summer break on Thursday night at 8pm .Newcomers very welcome. A great way of spending some of the winter night suitable for ladies and gents.

BEREAVEMENT

Sympathy is extended to Mary & John Belton & family Richfort on the death of Mary's mother Mary Eivers who was laid to rest on Saturday last. May she rest in peace.

TODDLER GROUP

The Toddler Group is on in Ardagh Community Centre on Tuesday mornings, between 10 and 12 - drop in anytime during the two hours for a cuppa and a chat. Mums, dads, minders, grannies and grandads are encouraged to call in, all children are welcome along from new borns to pre-schoolers - there are no age limits. You and your children can socialise, share experience and make use of the new playground facility.

Ardagh Brownies resumes on Thursday, 9th September. We will need to know who intends going to the pantomime this year on Sunday, 28th November and the annual insurance, 36 euro is also payable this term. Any queries, please contact Joanna on 086 237 2616.

SOCCER

Ardagh United Soccer 2010/11 Registration Night: Ardagh Community Centre, Wed 8 Sept from 7-8:30pm. Teams available for U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12 and U16. ALL players and their parents must attend on the night to register and pay for the year. Fees: 40Euro for 1 player in family, 60Euro for family. Payment in full due on the night. The new season will start next week so ALL players must be signed up in time.

COMMUNITY GAMES

The Ardagh/Moydow Community Games send condolences to Mrs. Patsy Kenny and family, Edgeworthstown, on the death of her husband Josie Kenny. They have given years of service and leadership to the Longford Community Games and we were all saddened to hear this news
