Longford Region P.T.A.A. Annual Dinner Dance will take place in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule on Friday, 13th November. Music by T.R. Dallas Dinner 9p.m. Tickets €25. Mass for deceased members of Pioneer Association in Drumlish on Friday. 20th November at 8p.m.

Creative Ardagh

Thanks to everyone who made the First Ardagh Fright Fest a success! Fergus Kennedy for his great support, ideas and belief in our ability. Shelley Corcoran and the TY students of Cnoc Mhuire Granard, Scoil Mhuire Longford, Ballymahon Convent, St. Mel’s College, Moyne Community College and the students of Templemichael PLC for the amazing exhibition that will continue to be on show for November. Thanks to Joe Murphy and E R Murray for their wonderful writing workshops and Augharea House for making their visit so memorable. Thanks to Brendan Farrell of Ardagh Village Landscapes for the lovely morning in your garden and the walk and of course the potion!! We will be seeing a lot more flying brooms in these here parts!!! Finally a huge big thanks to everyone who came, took part and supported us in so many ways!!! We can’t do it without you and we really appreciate your support and enthusiasm!!! Keep an eye on Irish TV as they visited during the week! Creative Longford meeting is on Tuesday at 8pm. Prose workshop with Alan continues Wednesday at 7.30pm. Drop In Thursday continues as normal this week from 12pm to 3.30pm. French with Le Petit Chat is back at 5pm on Thursday. Portfolio preparation from 11am to 12pm Saturday Morning. Science Week Workshops for schools and groups available from 8th to 15th November.
