A fundraising night for the Longford Palliative Homecare in memory of the late Willie Tully, Killoe, RIP will be held in the Longford Arms Hotel on Friday, 6 November from 9:30pm. Tickets cost 10 euro available from all local outletsor at the door on the night or contact Catherine Tully on 0879547103. The Tully families appreciate your support with all proceeds in aid of Longford Palliative Homecare. Fingerfood, tea and coffee will be served on the night.
Should you have any 1 cent/ 2 cent coins (now taking out of circulation) hanging around the house, you may dispose of same in AIB or BOI from 2-8 November 2015. Proceeds will benefit many Irish Charities.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the Yorke families, Moydow, Co. Longford on the sad bereavement of their mother, Kathleen (nee Powell aged 102 years old and pre-deceased by her husband Thomas) who was laid to rest last week. The parish expresses it’s condolences to her son Jack, daughters Ann Shaughnessy, Lettergunnell, Mary, UK, Kathleen Lenehan, Longford, her daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neighbours, friends and extended family. Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church Moydow with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. RIP.
Also the parish expresses it’s condolences to Mrs. Lynch and families, Newtownbond, Killoe on the sudden sad bereavement of her husband, Con who was laid to rest on Monday. Mass was celebrated in St. James Church, Clonbroney with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.
The annual Pioneers Dinner Dance will be held in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule, Co. Longford on Friday, 13 November 2015. Music by J.R Dallas and his band. Tickets cost 25 euro, available from Geraldine Clarke on 0863265655 or any committee member. Non Pioneers are also very welcome.
Knit & Stitch
A bus will travel to the knit and stitch show on Saturday, 14 November 2015, leaving the Axis Centre, Longford at 8am, return journey to arrive back at Longford at 6pm. Cost for ICA members 5 euro and non-members 10 euro.
