The late Margaret Devine
The entire local and wider North Westmeath community were saddened to learn of the death, which took place, peacefully, at her residence on Wednesday, October 28th of Margaret (Peggy) Devine, (nee Laffey), Mooretown, Castlepollard. The remains reposed at her residence in Mooretown, Castlepollard, on October 30th from 4.00pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal took place on Saturday morning, October 31st to St. Michael’s Church, Castlepollard. The funeral took place following Requiem Mass at 11am and internment took place afterwards to St. Michael’s Cemetery. The attendance at the removal, Mass and funeral was large and widely representative of the esteem in which the deceased was held. Peggy as the deceased was known, will be sadly missed not alone by her immediate family, but by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her loving husband Pat, sons Paddy and Frank, daughter Helen, sisters Nell and Mary, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, son-in-law Mike, daughter-in-law Aveen, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to whom deepest sympathy is extended.
Castlepollard Hurling Club are holding a Fundraising Bag Pack in Dunnes Stores, Mullingar, on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th. Anybody with a couple of hours to spare is asked to contact Seamus or any member of the club Executive. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
The late Mary McBreen
The local and wider North Westmeath community were saddened to learn of the death, which took place peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Tuesday, October 6th of Mary (Molly) McBreen, (nee Sullivan, Elm Grove, Cavan Town and formerly of Coole, Co. Westmeath. The remains reposed at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Thursday, October 8th with removal to the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim. The funeral took place following Requiem Mass on Friday, October 9th, at 11.00am and interment took place afterwards to St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Crosskeys. The attendance at the removal, Mass and funeral was large and widely representative of the esteem in which the deceased was held. Molly, as the deceased was known, was beloved wife of the late Frank, and will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. We extend deepest sympathy to all concerned.
