A very important meeting will be held in the community centre, Aughnacliffe on Friday, 30th October at 8.30pm with a view to enlisting more volunteers to provide cover at both Churches in the parish for funerals and other events that take place in our Churches . At the moment this work is been done by a small group of volunteers who give generously of their time whenever called upon but their is a need for a much bigger panel of people especially from the Purth end of the parish to help out with stewarding both in and outside the Church at removals and funerals. If you would like to help out please come along to the meeting on Friday 30th.

We were all very saddened to hear of the death on Saturday last of Joe Doyle, Molly. A quiet and friendly man who loved getting out and meeting people, having a pint in one of the locals and most of all playing his accordion whenever their was a session. We will all miss not meeting you Joe driving around the locals roads in your little car. To his family and friends, we offer our condolences. Joe’s removal took place on Tuesday to St Colmcille’s Church and he will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery after his funeral mass this Wednesday RIP.
