Joe Callaghan CCE are hosting a night of traditional Irish music, song and dance in the Mostrim Arms Hotel on Friday, 13th November 2015 at 9.30p.m. A junior session for younger musicians will take place in the Community Centre at 8p.m. Please support this very worthy fundraiser.


The A.G.M. of Ardagh Moydow I.F.A. will take place on Tuesday 17th November at 8.30 p.m. in the Community Centre Ardagh. A representative from the County Executive and a guest speaker will attend the meeting. Refreshments served all are welcome..


It is a busy time for our bowls club at the moment. Our A team fulfilled two away fixtures in the past two weeks and are away again this Tuesday night in Streete We had a very good win in a very difficult venue in Mullingar on Sunday night last, winning three and half points to one and half points. Last Wednesday we travelled to Tyrellspass who were last years champions, and came away with two points losing 3-2. The A team have ten and a half points out of a possible fifteen at the moment. Our B team after a bye the previous week entertained Streete C in Ardagh on Thursday night and after a brilliant start, running away with the first two matches, they lost the next two and bonus by one shot. They travel to play Ballymore on Wednesday night. The B team have six points out of a possible ten, The bonus numbers for the last three weeks have been won by Jimmy McDermott, Mary Dowler and Teresa Hogan. Our club is hosting the Westmeath doubles on Sunday 29th November.
