Chess Club

Over the coming weeks, it is hoped that a Chess Club for adults can be formed in Drumlish. The Club will be open to players of all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced players. Break the Pain Cycle

If you live in County Longford and wish to vote you should check that your are registered correctly to vote. Family members resident in Co. Woodland Volunteering Day

If you would you like to lend a hand in increasing Ireland’s native woodland cover then come along on Saturday next 14th November to the  Woodland Reserve on the Longford/Leitrim border at Farmaught. The work will involve planting native trees along with some maintenance at the site. Benefit Dance

A Benefit night for the family of the late Sean Mulligan, Ballinamuck will take place in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva on Monday 16th November 2015. Music on the night by Night Fever, Mick Flavin, Noel Cassidy, Jimmy Hussey, Busy Fingers Tickets cost €10 each -the committee will be out selling over the next few weeks and your support will be very much appreciated. Tickets will also be on sale in Gala Ballinamuck and Post Office in Drumlish.

Social Dance Classes

Social Dance Classes continues on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the PORTER HOUSE, with tutor Pauline, Dance for exercise, fun or to fine tune those steps, all abilities are welcome.

Art Classes

Art Classes resumed in Drumlish Community Centre on Wednesday’s from 10 – 12 noon, limited places available, develop a new hobby or improve your artistic skills in a fun filled environment.

Kiltycreevagh School Re-Union

Kiltycreevagh N.S. will hold a weekend celebration next year on the 12th, 13th, and 14th August 2016. A book is been compiled to commemorate this occasion. We are seeking old Photos and stories that people wish to share and have published in this book. Photos and stories can be scanned and emailed to Kittycreev@gmail.com. Alternatively these can be given to a committee member. (email for details on Committee members). Please put your name on the back of photos, so they can be returned after they have been scanned.

The AGM for Ballinamuck defibrillator scheme will take place on Wednesday 11th at 8pm in the visitor centre, all committee members are asked to attend and new members are welcome.

Station Mass

Those who would like to host the Station Mass in the Ballinamuck area of the Parish between now and Christmas might contact Fr. Ber as soon as possible.

Breath Stretch and Relax

Beginners and Improvers 5 week course starting Thursday, 12th November 7.45—9p.m. in our new Studio ‘98 Hall, Ballinamuck. Course includes 1 night of Chair exercises. Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Contact 0872868254 for further details

Parish Pastoral Council

There will be a meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council in the Parochial House, Drumlish on Wednesday, 18th October at 7.30p.m. All members please attend as we will meet Fr. Lawrence Gallagher to discuss our forthcoming parish mission.

Do This in Memory

There will be a meeting of the parents of the children preparing for First Communion of St. Mary’s N.S. in the School on Thursday, 12th November at 7p.m. Its important that all parents try to be present. Thank you.

Monaduff Social Club

A meeting will be held on Monday 9th November at 8 p.m. The next get-together will take place at Monaduff on Saturday, 14th November from 3—5p

Monaduff Social Club

The annual club get together was held in the library on the 10th of October. Sincere thanks to Eamonn Brennan who gave an interesting talk on the 1916 rising and the group enjoyed listening to music and had a very enjoyable sing song. A very pleasant afternoon was had by all and a sincere thanks to all who attended. The social club would like to extend their thanks to Mary Carlton Reynolds for attending and Helen for her organisation and provision of the delicious food. The next meeting will be held on Monday the 9th of November at 8 pm. The next get together will be held on Saturday, November 14th from 3 to 5 pm in Monaduff. The Christmas party is planned for Saturday the 5th of December, so make sure to make the calendar. Monaduff Social Club offers its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late John Cunningham, Lettergullion and Gertie Nicholl, The Meadows, Drumlish who died recently. May they rest in peace.

Chess Club

A meeting will take place next Friday, November 13th at 8.30 in Drumlish Community Centre. Anyone interested in playing or learning the game of Chess is invited to attend. It is hoped that a Chess Club can be formed on the night and regular games can commence shortly afterwards. The meeting is open to all and all support would be greatly appreciated.
