Congratulations to Paddy Condron who celebrated his 40th birthday with a lovely party for family and friends in McElvaney’s on Saturday night last. As usual the very high standard of great food, drink and music was available and a good night was had by all. We wish Paddy and his family many more celebrations.
Congratulations to Marcella Kiernan, Ferriskill on receiving an award from President Higgins for her great work in caring for her daughter Rosaleen. Richly deserved Marcella and well done.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the Cullen family, Coolamber on the death of Sean (John) Cullen last week. May he rest in peace.
On Saturday last Ireland’s under 18 Rugby team played Italy in Ashbourne and while they were beaten on a scoreline of 19 to 13 it was a special day for young Eoin Corcoran as he lined out and played for his country. Eoin is son of Rose (Mallon Gelsha) and the late John Corcoran, Aughagreagh and this is a great achievement for him and all his extended family is very proud of him so we say well done Eoin and continued success.
