The annual Cake Sale and raffle in aid of St. Joseph’s Young Priest Society takes place in the Hill this weekend, Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th, after both Masses. Donations of home baking and farm produce would be greatly appreciated. Your support would be very welcome.

Tidy Towns

The monthly meeting of the Tidy Towns will be held in the Hill, this Wednesday, the 8th of October.

Woodcutters Lodge

The Woodcutters Lodge is now closed for business. John and Sue Grace, would like to thank all those who supported them in their venture, for the lovely compliments, and friendships over the last few years. We wish to thank them for their friendly and professional service,and wish them the very best in the future.


We extend congratulations to both Michelle Carberry and Emmett Walsh, who were married on Thursday, the 2nd of October last.


October is the month of the Rosary. The weekly recitation of the Rosary returns this Friday the 10th at 7.30p.m. All are welcome.

Ballinahinch and Cashel, Ethna and Brendan Bannon, Friday the 10th. Derryhawn Mór and Derryhaun Houses, Maureen Donlon, Monday the 13th. Greenhall Lower, Carrickmoran, Fortwilliam, Antoinette and John Flood, Friday the 17th. Derrygowna and Stonepark, Helen and Peter Farrell, Thursday the 23rd. New Row, Clogher, Cornadough, Bornaveera, Catherine and Larry Gallagher, Friday the 24th.

Estate Rd, Derrymacar, Derrindiff, Derrycolumb, Fidelma and Oliver Killian, Thursday the 30th. Confessions at 7.45p.m. Mass at 8p.m.

Parish Mission

We wish to thank the Vincentian,Ember team for their excellent Mission over the past fortnight. It brought a lot of joy and inspiration to many, both young and not so young. Also thanks is extended to the Parish Pastoral Council,and the many others who did so much to ensure the Mission’s success.
