Athletics Day took place last Friday evening and it was a great success, large turnout. Well done to all who participated, I know some of you are disappointed that you did not get into the top three, but you must remember its all about getting involved. County Finals take place in Ballyleague on 7th June. A special thank you to all parents who helped out with the event.
A tractor run in aid of the club will take place on Sunday, 25th May, leaving the GAA club at 2pm. Entry per tractor 20 euro. Run will make its way from St. Barry’s GAA ground to Scramogue, then the run will turn off at Scramogue Cross and make its way to Ruskey village via Kilglass. The run will again turn off in Ruskey onto Tarmonbarry road and make its way back to St. Barry’s GAA ground. If you wish to enter a tractor contact Dermot Kilcrann on 086-8739609. We extend sympathy to the Mullooly family, Cloonmore on the death of John Francis Mullooly, England and formerly of Cloonmore who died recently in England. Our deepest sympathy to Pat and family, sisters Marty Lohan, Delia Mullooly, Catherine Reynolds and families. May he rest in peace.

Trip to Derry
Ruskey Active Retirement Group are heading off to Derry on a trip on Tuesday, 10th June. The visit will include a visit to Guild Hall and the Derry Wall. Some seats are left. Contact 086-8534100 for further details.
Traffic flying through village
The volume and speed of traffic is of major concern. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic and cyclists in the region and all motorists etc. need to travel with caution
