Cavan Co. Council will hold a Public Information evening in the Parochial Hall this Thursday, 13th March from 3 – 7pm, regarding proposed route for re-routing of the N55 Corduff – Killydoon.
This coming Friday, 14th March, the place to be will be the Imperial Bar, Cavan for white collar boxing organized by the local GFC. This fundraiser is in conjunction with neighbouring Club Gowna which gives added impetus to some good bouts on the night all in the spirit of the GAA, we hope. Also there will be a draw for €1,000, €500 and €250, tickets are available locally and all support will be greatly appreciated.

Cavan supporters were happy enough leaving Breffni Park on Sunday evening with a fourth consecutive win when it looked for most of the game that this one could get away. The last 15 minutes of the match saw a complete turnaround and supporters got what they came to see in droves - a fine display from the Boys in Blue. Well done to Killian who had a fine game all round.
After months of continuous rain the clouds finally disappeared and some fine weather last week was appreciated by all. The longer evenings brought a real touch of spring and farmers are heartened as fodder supplies are running low.

Takes place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran following 9.30 am Mass on Monday mornings and following the First Friday Mass at 7pm, and in St. Joseph’s Church, Loughduff following 9.30 am Mass on Tuesday and 7 pm Mass on Thursday. Why not come and spend some time before the Blessed Sacrament for a special intention during Lent.
Boxes are available in both Churches for Lenten collection. Working for a just world, the focus of Trocaire this year is on helping communities in the Third World through providing clean water and enabling them work their way out of poverty and with all our support families may be able to start to rebuild their lives.
Killydoon Area Dev Ass are holding their annual spring clean on Saturday, April 5th from the County Bridge to Killydoon and beyond taking in the old road as well as the new road, if enough help is available. Time from 10am to 1pm. All help along this route appreciated.
