Circuit training

Table Quiz

Circle of Friends are hosting a Table Quiz in aid of Longford Hospice in Longford Rugby Club this Friday, 14th March at 8.30pm.  40 euro for table of four.  Raffle and lots of prizes on the night. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Art Competition

All children in the parish turning age 7 up to 15 years are most welcome to enter the annual Community Games Art competition this Friday (March 14) at 6pm in the Ardagh Community Centre, cost €2 to enter. Please bring all your own pencils and colours, we will supply the paper. When you finish your masterpiece then you can stay on for Friday evening youth activities, 7-8pm in the main hall. Tag Rugby

AMG has entered teams in both U11 & U14 Tag Rugby, mixed teams for girls and boys. This was a very popular event last year so be sure you give your name to Eamon O’Kane if you want to be in the competition. Training begins this Thursday March 13 indoors at Edgeworthstown Hall at 6:30pm. County Final scheduled for April 26 at the Longford Rugby Club.

Talent

Thanks to Riona Lynch for preparing all the entries to the annual County Community Games Talent competition taking place March 16 at The Backstage Theatre. Wishing good luck to Sarah Shea- Solo Singing, Katie Lynch- Solo Music & Recitation, and Group Singing- Ashling Farrell, Katie Quinn, Emma Thompson, Courtney Heffernan, Sarah Shea & Katie Lynch. Handwriting: James Gillen, Saoirse McLoughlin & Sarah Keenan will be doing their lovely handwriting at the County Final on Wed March 19 in Ballymahon. The next activities coming up are tag rugby, outdoor 11-a-side U12 Soccer, U13 Cross Country (1200m), the Mixed Distance Relay for U12 & U14, Swimming and Skittles U12, u14, u16. Give your names to Eamon O’Kane and Michael Hayden ASAP to be in these events\on these teams.

Futsal

Well done to all the boys who took part in the Futsal competition last weekend. The lads put in weeks of indoor training to prepare and thanks goes to Padraig Smyth and Michael Hayden for organising teams this year. Robert Smyth, Dylan Coady, Cian Hartmann, Kyle McConnon, Fergal Keane, Jack Mulleady, Dylan Fay, Daniel Hayden, Cathal Farrell & Diarmuid Farrell all fielded for AMG. Churchgate Collection: The Annual Ardagh\Moydow\Glen Community Games Churchgate collection will take place the weekend of 22\23 March. This collection goes directly to the Community Games activities that take part in our parish giving opportunities for the children to progress on to County and National level. So far this year AMG has 5 teams going forward from winning at County level to upcoming Leinster rounds: U12 Chess, U16 Chess, U15 Girls Badminton, U10 Girls Indoor Soccer and U13 Boys Table Tennis. 3 children will be taking part in the County Handwriting Final and 6 children in the County Talent Final. Your generosity is much appreciated.
