We would like to congratulate three of our fouth year students, James Higgins, Brendan Wallace and Sorcha Murphy on their recent achievement. These students were chosen by the National Centre for Technology in Education to be part of a 35 student panel from Ireland. They have been invited to take part in the Webwise Youth Panel on Internet Safety. Webwise is the internet safety initiative of the Department of Education’s Professional Development Service for Teachers. This is an excellent achieve for James, Brendan and Sorcha. The group travelled to Dublin Castle on Wednesday last, whereby they held their first discussion. We wish James, Brendan and Sorcha the best of luck over the coming months as they undertake this project with the department.
We are all really excited about our upcoming pantomime in the school. Ms Nolan and Ms Mc Goey are working very hard to make this panto as successful as our last ones.
On Tuesday last we had a very successful coffee morning for all parents/guardians of first year students. This gave parents and teachers a chance to meet informally in our school gym. As our taster programme is coming to an end, it gave parents/guardians a chance to speak about subject choices with teachers. Many thanks to the parents and guardians for their attendance! Thanks to the Home Ec department for the catering and the all the goodies they provided!
This continues every second Monday. It is encouraging to see a large turnout. Keep it up girls.
Many thanks to all the parents and guardians who were present at the parent/teacher meeting for our fifth year students on Thursday evening last. Many thanks to Eugene and Madeline for organising the hall for this meeting.
