Teachers and students are working hard to prepare a range of activities for Science Week, which will take place between November 10-17. These two themed weeks are exciting prospects as we believe that this will promote the subjects and motivate students to work harder in the fields of Maths and Science.
Preparations have finally begun in advance for the O’Beirne cup final. Our senior team will be facing the winner of the semi-final between Cnoc Mhuire and Lanesboro Community College which is expected to be a hotly contested game. Our school community is really looking forward to what will be an exciting game and we all wish our senior team the best of luck. Ladies training is ongoing and numbers are growing. A challenge match is being arranged and we are all looking forward to it. Our U-16 team is also continuing with their training as the U-16 football campaign is beginning this week.
We are busy preparing for Ardscoil Phádraig’s Open Night which takes place on November 14. As part of the Open Night there will be a demonstration on the use of iPads which will be introduced for first years starting in September 2014. We will be visiting primary schools and sending out brochures in the run up to the event.
