Bridget Maloney, (nee) Lloyd, born Forgney, Ballymahon, 74, now of Yonkers, New York died suddenly Thursday, October 10 at home. Beloved wife of William (formally of the FDNY). Mother of John and Brian and mother-in-law of Jeanette, and proud grandmother of Sean. Bridget was one of 14 siblings – Rosie, Pat, Sean, Maureen, Tom (deceased), Joe, Matt, Dympna, Bill, Sarah, Mike, Kathleen & Christy to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. She is survived by her uncle Jim (Keegan), Forgney, many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends galore. Bridget was an MBA graduate, an experienced corporate executive and a champion shortstop on a local minor league baseball team. She loved her family dearly. Her roses were legendary, cooking epic, she laughed easily and could dance with William all night. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Her family loved her without reserve as she loved them with all her heart. Bridget was a frequent visitor home to Ireland. (Went to USA when she was 19 years, her sister Kathleen also lives in USA). Funeral Mass was held at the Church of St. Anthony, Yonkers, on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:00am. A Christian burial followed immediately at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Yonkers. Memorial Mass will take place in Forgney on Saturday, 23 November at 11.00am.
