This Saturday 26th October is the start of Winter time and clocks will go back by one hour at 2am on the night.

Inny Anglers

Results of this week’s Inny Anglers Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 13, 17, 19 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. Special draw winners were the Marley Girls and Phil Slowey each €40. Inny Anglers Club extends condolences to the Nolan family on the death of Michael Nolan in Dublin recently.

A vacancy exists for a temporary cleaner 10 hours per week at Naoi Rath Ré Créche and Childcare Legan. Apply in writing to the Chairperson before Monday 4th November.


Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday 14th October for a jackpot of €7,850. Numbers drawn were 3, 5, 9 and 19. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners of €25 each were Mick Rooney, Alice Doherty, Willie Keenan and Seamus Moran. This week’s draw took place in Connaughton’s Rathowen and results will be published next week.

Work 4 You

Work4You set up by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides a free Vocational assessment for individuals who have an acquired brain injury and want support to return to work, training or education. It is free to anyone with an acquired brain injury, aged 16-65 and in receipt of a payment from the Department of Social Protection. For further information please call 0449338773.

Dinner Dance

The Annual Regional Pioneer Dinner Dance takes place in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule at 9pm on Friday 1st November. Music supplied by the J&S Sound. Tickets can be had from the usual sources or at the door on the night. All welcome Pioneers and non-Pioneers.
