Last Friday night saw the first meeting of some past pupils of Cloonturk National School in relation to having a school reunion. The idea of having a reunion on Sunday December 29th was discussed and it was hoped that we would go ahead on that date as it would be still in the “Year of the Gathering”. So now we really want more past pupils to come along to another meeting in the Copper Still on Monday November 11th at 9pm and bring along any memorabilia you might have from your time in Cloonturk National School, so from Dromodmore to Furnace from Cloonfannon to Liscloonadea and all the in-between townlands please make an effort to come along.
