The Marquee in Drumlish Line up for 2013: Friday August 16th: Delorentos followed by DJ Fergal DArcy Saturday August 17th: Declan Nerney & Nathan Carter. Sunday August 18th: Sharon Shannon & Mundy followed by The Aftermath. Music starts at 9pm every night and people are encouraged to come early to avoid disappointment. As well as music each night, Saturday sees a Family Fun Day in Monaduff from 1 to 5pm, while on Sunday there will be Monster Bingo in 98 Hall, Ballinamuck with €3000 in prizes. Recently voted in the Top 10 places in Ireland to change your life, huge crowds are expected again at this years festival. Drumlish Heritage & History are hosting two events over 2 evenings on 21 & 22 August: Evening 1 will be a walk to some of the villages’ historic and heritage sites and evening 2 will be a walk around the village of 1950’s Drumlish based on Arnold Meagher’s book: Ireland, my Ireland memories from the heartland – we have engaged the services of a well known and well versed local historian to fill in some of the gaps in our knowledge – all welcome. The Longford Branch of the Irish Kidney Association wish to thank sincerely all who contributed to their recent Church gate collection in Drumlish and Ballinamuck. The total collected was €651.00, which has been forwarded to the Irish Kidney association.

Bingo in Ballinamuck –continues this Tuesday and every Tuesday @8.30pm nightly. Prize fund €1,300. All are welcome.
Free Family Fun Day on Saturday next the 17th of August in conjunction with the Marquee in Drumlish. St Vincent’s will be holding a Family Fun day in Monaduff Grounds. On the day there will be underage Blitzes, Penalty shootout Competitions, lots of Mini Games for all the Boys and Girls, Face-painting, Balloon Modelling, Bouncing Castles, Dog Show and lots more. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and local entertainers will also be present. We will also be having a couples three legged race so all the couples in the parish can start practicing now!!! There will NO charge on the day.

Thursday next is the feast of the Assumption and is a |Holy Day of Obligation.Vigil Mass in Drumlish on Wednesday at 8pm. Mass on Thursday at 11.00am. Mass in Ballinamuck on Thursday at 7.30pm. In Newtownforbes at St. Mary’s Vigil Mass on Wednesday evening at 7.00pm and evening Mass on Thursday at 7pm.
