Quarry Park B-B-Q

Amid glorious sunshine the Annual G.A.A BAR-B-Q took place last week in the Quarry park. All who gave their help towards this day are to be thanked.

The Singers, Musicians, Dancers, Bands, Face Painter, Barbeque, Sound and Lighting and the many volunteers who helped. One of the highlights of the evening was the arrival of “Hans The Story Teller” who came by pony and trap and entertained up to 90 young children in the wood bower.

Collections

The Cemeteries of Saint’s Island and Cashel are maintained to a very high standard,a feature noted and appreciated by all those who visit them. Maintainance is carried out under the Rural Social Scheme. It is fifteen years since a collection was held to defray the cost of materials and requisites. Funds are now depleted. There will be collections taken up at both burial grounds before Mass on Cemetary Sundays. Your generous support would be very much appreciated.

GAA

Well done to the Cashel senior team who had a good win over Kenagh last Sunday in the second round of the Championship. The next game will be this weekend, so please check fixtures for details.
