We offer our sincere sympathy to the Meehan family, Clonaive in this parish on the death of Brugha Meehan at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Saturday, 3rd August. Brugha was predeceased by his brother, Anthony, Publican, Coole, his sisters, Peggy and Maura and is survived by his wife, Cellie, sons Seamus and Fergal and his daughters, Doreen and Ruth, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, brother Feichin, sisters , Sr. Lena, Sister Kathleen, Bernie & Theresa and his extended family, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace. Brugha who had reached an advanced age was laid to rest following Mass in St. Nicholas Church, Multyfarnham on Tuesday, 6th August.
Is extended to the Connaughton family, Russagh on the death of Mrs. Mary Connaughton, mother of Liam, Rose and Frances. Her remains were removed to Rathowen Church on Friday, and burial took place in Russagh Cemetery following Mass on Saturday. May she rest in peace.
With Sunday, 1st September not that far away it is time for all contenders for the 5km Run/walk to practice and to get fit. All proceeds from this event will go towards reducing the debt on our Walkway, which we are delighted to report gets lots of use and appreciation. This is your chance to support the committee for creating this walkway which benefits so many without any charge. We won’t feel until the lights will be in use again. Diocesan Pilgrimage takes place on September, 1st with Bishop Colm O’Reilly and possibly Bishop elect, Francis Duffy. Tickets for the bus available at the Sacristy before and after Mass.
