THANKS: Kenagh National School Parents Association had a very successful Easter fair in Saint Dominics Centre last Sunday afternoon. Despite the very cold weather there was a very good crowd present which went to make the event the success that it was. The Parents Committee wish to thank all who supported the fair by donations of cash, home bakery, confectionery and a lot of brica brack.

LOTTO: The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto on March 18 were 6, 7, 8, 15. There were three match three winners Colette O’Connor Derralough ; Karen Johnston Lanesboro and Michael Galvin Athlone all get thirty euro each.

KARAOKE: There will be a fundraising Karaoke night in Gav’s Bar on Easter Saturday night March 30th starting at 9pm. All proceeds from the night will go to Longford branch of MS. There will be raffle prizes during the night and admission will be optional.

CHURCH NOTES: Holy Thursday : Mass at 8pm. Good Friday: Main ceremony at 3pm. Stations of the Cross at 7.30pm. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil at 8pm; Easter Sunday morning mass at 11am. There will be a collection on Holy Thursday for the Young Priests Society. Trocaire boxes should be returned during Holy Week if possible. Even in these hard times, helping others is at the heart of Christian living.

PIONEERS: Carrickedmond Pioneer Total Abstinence Association: we are looking at the possibility of organising a tour in the month of July, on a Sunday to visit the titanic exhibition in Belfast. PROGRESSIVE TWENTY FIVE: Winners at Saint Dominics Community Centre last Thursday night were Kathleen and Annie 14 games win eighty euro Mark and Noreen 12 games win fifty euro. Table prizes Val and Pat Jimmy and Mary win twenty euro each. Raffle Ned Dervan, Tom Farrell, Tom Dennigan, Niall Hughes, Tom Farrell and Mickey Connaughton all win ten euro each.
