On Sunday September 27th next St. Patrick’s National Killeen will celebrate the 50th anniversary of it’s opening and Bishop Francis Duffy will celebrate Mass at the school at 3pm and there will be refreshments and a chat for all afterwards. Invitations have been issued to all past pupils so the committee really look forward to and encourage all to make a special effort to be in attendance and help to make this a very memorable occasion.
Ardscoil Phádraig are currently finalising their enrolment process for QQI Level 5 courses in Animal Care and Nursing Studies. These QQI Level 5 courses are suitable for both school leavers and mature students who wish to return to education and gain new skills or employment. Congratulations to Eimear and Enda O’Hara on the birth of their second child - a girl last week. The new arrival is to be named Caoimhe Anne and she is a welcome sister for Aoibheann and grand daughter for John and Ann O’Hara, Muckerstaff.

Ballymore football club held their monthly draw last weekend and the first prize of one thousand euro was won by James Brown while Kitty Behan, Michael Moore and Smith’s Garage, all won one hundred euro each. Next draw at the end of August.
