Drumgowna School Reunion: Drumgowna School Reunion Committee wish to return thanks to all who supported their get together in the Welcome Inn on Sunday 30th December. Also their other two fund raising nights were well supported and hopefully enjoyed. From now on the committee will be concentrating on compiling the book.
Anyone who intends to submit material needs to get going as a deadline will soon be set. A page can be sponsored for 50 euro. The committee are having a general meeting in the community centre on Sunday next, January 20th at 3pm. This will be an opportunity for anyone who may wish to hand in articles for the book. Photographs can be scanned there and then. It will also be an ideal opportunity for people to give addresses and contact details of others, either at home or abroad, who might be interested in the reunion. It’s very important that no one will be forgotten. Our contact details are e-mail: Drumgowna.school@yahoo.com and our web page is www.drumgownaschool.com

Football Fare: Leitrim turned in a very good performance on Sunday last in Ballinamore when beating Mayo in the FBD league. It follows on from the fine first round win over Roscommon. Cathal McCrann had a super game in the goals, bringing off several point blank saves. Ciaran Egan had a steady game in a backline that kept it very tight. Well done lads.
