Congratulations to our Girls U13 Table Tennis team who came second place in the County final, on Sunday last the 13th of January. They were beaten by a marginally stronger Carrickedmond team with a 4-2 finish. Well done to team members Emily McCarthy, Aishling Morrissey, Niamh Brady and Grace Kennedy on winning their silver medals. Killoe’s second Girls U13 Table Tennis team, comprised of Niamh Harte, Amber Sullivan and Alanna Carr, put in great performances, and were unlucky to lose out in their semi-final game on the same day. On Saturday the 12th of January, our Boys U13 Table Tennis team took on Clonguish in a very exciting semi-final, which culminated in a doubles match. In a game that could have gone either way, luck was on Clonguish’s side and Killoe had to suffer the loss. Well done to Killoe lads Enda Bracken, Reece Reid Leonard, Euan Finneran and Evan Farrelly for putting in their best efforts in a highly entertaining match. Many thanks to managers and trainers Mary Morrissey and James Bracken for their time and commitment to training the four teams involved in this year’s competitions. Many thanks to Colm Harte for the use of St. Teresa’s N.S. for training and competitions - it is greatly appreciated as Table Tennis could not take place in Killoe without these facilities.
