Closure of Community Welfare Service Clinic
Clinic held at Rooskey Community Centre on Wednesdays at 2.30pm is now closed. You can access the Community Welfare Service at Dromod on Thursdays 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please contact the Community Welfare Service on 087 4194462 if you are unable to travel to Dromod Health Centre. The Community Welfare Service will still hold clinics in Strokestown Health Centre on Tuesdays 10 - 1pm and in Elphin Health Centre on Wednesdays 10am - 12 noon.
Darkness into Light
On 9th May next at 4.15am our Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House takes place. The official launch of Longford’s walk will take place on Easter Saturday in Tesco shopping centre from 11am - 3pm. Anyone who wishes to register with us on the day and receive their t-shirt. If you have already registered online you can pick up your t-shirt on Easter Saturday also. We will have representatives from a wide section of the community attending the launch as well as some local celebrities. Why not come along and join us and register to take part in what will be an unforgettable experience.

Irish Language Grants
As part of the promotion of the Irish Language Cumann Luthcleas Gael Ros Comain are offering a number of grants to students who wish to improve their knowledge of the Irish language. Applications are invited from full time secondary schools in Co Roscommon. Each grant is worth €200. Completed applications to be sent to Tomas O Muiri, Roscommon GAA Offices. Topaz Cash for Clubs
Kilglass Gaels have entered a competition with Topaz. If you purchase €40 or more on petrol or diesel at any Topaz garage just ask to have a loyalty card stamped and get a receipt. When the cards are full they can be returned with receipt to any club official. The cards will be returned to Topaz. Closing date 12 May. Prizes are as follow: 1 lucky club will win €10,000, 10 clubs will win €5000, 140 clubs win €1000. Each club entered will receive €250.

They now go on to represent Kilglass Roscommon and Connacht in the National Finals in Citywest in two week’s time.
