Tidy Towns

Tree Planting Ceremony - The joyous event took place on Saturday last in dry weather - Fr. Ber Hogan PP planted a tree for us and blessed the planting work in a simple ceremony. A great morning’s work got completed to the satisfaction of all - we look forward to seeing these trees reveal their colours in a few short weeks. The Easter Egg Hamper Draw is taking place this coming Saturday in Centra, Costcutters & the PO- runner up Easter Eggs will be raffled also.

We continue to focus on the 2015 judging season which starts in June to that end we are doing everything possible to reach the magic 300 in this June’s National Tidy Town’s Competition. We appeal to townspeople to get buildings and paint work in order. Roof tops and eves are full of debris and the birds are leaving a very dirty mess on the pavements - There are 2 months in which to get things in order- mid June is judging time in Drumlish.
