They received a pleasant surprise last Saturday night with a surprise party from their family. We wish them well on this their pearl wedding anniversary.
The Simon Community wish to thank all those who supported their church gate collection which was taken up over the past weekend. The amount collected was 334 euro.

The new dressing rooms, meeting rooms and gym are now well underway. The foundations and sub floor have now been poured and the block work of the main building is about to begin. We look forward to an ultra modern facility on the site in the not too distant future.
Kenagh GAA club will be holding their annual dinner dance on December 27th. More on this later. This will be a special occasion as the club will celebrate 125 years in existence, one of the oldest in the county. It will also recognise under 21 achievements for 1987 and 1989.

Last weekend nine members from the MSKC travelled to England for the British open championships in karate. The Tanden Dojo Longford was represented by five members. Aoife Wadd being one of the squad and the youngest member. Aoife returned home with a bronze medal in Kata. Congratulations to Aoife and also Aidan Pavel and Lynda who each earned a gold medal in Kumite. A very successful weekend for all of the squad – well done again.
