FAILTE PHILIP: His many friends extend a warm cead mile failte to former Ballinagh publican Mr Philip Masterson on his arrival home to his residence at Forge Brooke following a brief stay in hospital.

GREETINGS TO NORMAN: Belated birthday greetings to Dublin Road dairy farmer Mr Mornam Lowry Kincore who recently celebrated a very enjoyable birthday in the company of family and countless friends.

CHAMPION GREETED: World renowned handball champion Paul Brady received a magnificent welcome from the pupils of St Felims National School Ballinagh when he arrived back to work complete with the glittering all Ireland handball championship cup following his most recent success in the handball alley.

MEMORIAL MASS: organised by Ballinagh gaelic fooball club the holy sacrifice of the mass was offered for the deceased and living members of the club in the presence of a very large congregation in St Felims Church. After which all present were invited to partake of refreshments in the local clubrooms plus an invitation to view a photograph on display of every Ballinagh team that have ever won a Cavan County championship with the first being in 1913 when Ballinagh were victorious in the first ever junior county football championship played in county Cavan.The club wish to thank all who assisted on organising the occasion and to all who attended same with a special thank you to very Rev Peter Casey PP who was chief celebrant of the memorial mass.

EASTER CEREMONIeS: In St Felims Church got under way on Sunday with the blessings of palms on this Thursday Mass to commemorate the last supper and institution of the Blessed Eucharist will be celebrated at 7pm on Good Friday. The ceremonies of the reading of the passion the unveiling and adoration of the cross and distribution of holy communion commence at 3pm with the Easter vigil on Holy Saturday at 7pm with mass on Easter Sunday at 11am.
