Padraig Potts’ Guide to Walking

Seamus O’Rourke has an exciting new project lined up for the coming months. His theatre company, Big Guerilla Productions present a one-man play called ‘Padraig Potts’ Guide to Walking’. Written and performed by Seamus himself and charmingly directed by Charles McGuinness. The play follows the life of Padraig Potts McKeirnan, from growing up near the tiny rural village of Drumnamee, County Leitrim in the 70’s and 80’s to falling in love with Silvia Lang, a perfect protestant girl, to marrying Mary Tague, the priests housekeeper, who he never really liked and eventually to the realisation that the world isn’t as big as he first thought. This is a story full of Nostalgia, Innocence, Olympic standard sex and Holy Water Salad dressing… Setting for the play is provided by Noel Nash and Lighting design by Philip McIntyre. The play opens in the Corn Mill Theatre, Carrigallen on Wednesday, 25 June and Thursday, 26 June. Booking on 049 4339612, 086 8765377 between 10:00am and 4:00pm or bookings@cornmilltheatre.com
