Peace walkers

We are fast approaching that time of the year when our friends from Belfast pass through our town as they walk to Knock over five days on their Peace Pilgrimage. This is the twenty first year of the walk and over those years Fr Duffy R.I.P. looked forward to meeting and celebrating Mass with the walkers on their Thursday evening stopover in Ballinamore. This year and they will be celebrating the Mass on the Thursday evening, 17th July at 8pm. Over the years the parish has always opened their hearts and homes to the walkers and have been most generous and supportive in providing beds for those walking the pilgrimage. Hopefully this year will be no exception and if you can give a bed for even one walker it will be much appreciated. On this Thursday the walkers will have walked all the way from Clones to Ballinamore and as you can appreciate they would be delighted to get a bed for the night after that journey.  All are welcome to come and experience the Mass, the music and the liturgy that the Cursillio members bring to their celebrations.

Film at Library
On Tuesday, 1st July at 7.30pm you can come along to Ballinamore library and see the film the “The Monuments Men”. Based on a true story when a team of unlikely and - woefully unprepared - heroes are sent to the front lines of WWII to rescue artistic masterpieces from the Nazis, the race against time to protect a thousand years of culture begins. Starring George Clooney and Matt Damon it’s a film not to be missed. Remember it’s FREE ADMISSION with all welcome

We welcome into the Parish Community, Bobby Sullivan who was baptised in Ballinamore church on Saturday. We pray God’s blessing on Bobby and his family.
