Mass Times for Easter

Holy Thursday 7pm Mass Do This in Memory Mass for First Holy Communion – Good Friday 3pm Lords Passion – Friday 7pm Stations of the Cross. Holy Saturday 9pm mass – Sunday 6am Dawn Mass, Sunday 11am mass. No 9am mass on Sunday morning.

Karate Club

Great news for our club. As and from 21st April and  due to demand we are now running two classes in Newtownforbes - Monday at 7pm and Thursday at 7pm. It is great to see so many students so enthusiastic about training considering all the other demands on their time. Well done all. Remember our Easter draw takes place in both clubs this week. Birthday wishes this week to Newtown students Ronan and Kilglass student Aaron Carney.  Remember new members are always welcome and if you would like to give karate a try contact Sensei Ann Devlin on 087 9248816.

Attic Youth Café

Adult Volunteers are needed to work with a computer group in the Attic Youth Café, Longford Foroige Computer Group is about combining the practice of youth work with the use of technology to engage young people in creative learning. Contact Megan Depinna on 086 2566480 or for more information.

Introduction Night

The Backstage Theatre Group will be holding an introduction night for new members on Wednesday, April 30th at 8.30pm. This introduction will take place in the Backstage Theatre and is open to all who have an interest in any aspect of theatre. For more information contact 086 0860772.

Clonguish Lotto

The Clonguish Lotto was won at the weekend by Pat Lynagh, c/o Patsy Clarke. Winning numbers 19, 5, 7, 12. Next weeks Lotto in Casey’s. Jackpot €2,000.


Following on from our AGM the following officers were elected – President: Olive Quinn, Secretary: Mary Doyle, Treasurer: Rose Beirne. Pitch and Putt competition will be held on Saturday, 26th of April starting at 10am in Ballinalee. Anyone wishing to do a practice run can do so, the pitch in Ballinalee is open all year round and there is no problem going there. Congrats to Myrtle Kenny from Kenagh Guild on coming third in the short story competition during the week, and to Mgt Sides, Coolamber Guild on being highly recommended. Federation AGM in Kenagh on Monday, 28th of April. Craft class continues each Tuesday night in the Baldy Sheep at 7.30pm come on in a great night of fun promised. Our next meeting takes place on May 6th at 8.30pm in the parish hall, new members always welcome.

Hungry Horse Outside

Bake Sale, Games, face painting, pony rides, animal visit, refreshments, raffle and prizes. Venue Newtownforbes Complex on Sunday, 27th April from 2pm – 5pm. €3.50 per person - kids under 2 go free.

Ladies GAA

Clonguish Ladies are asking you to rid yourselves of unwanted clutter and raise money for the club without having to dip into your pockets. The club is running a clothes collection on a continuous basis. If you are clearing out unwanted clothes, the ladies senior club has a drop point every week at senior training, which runs on a Monday/Tuesday and a Friday night.
