Good Friday, April 18th at Killashee church at 12 noon and walk to Clondra by way of the canal. Along the way, pray the Stations of the Cross. 3pm ceremonies in Clondra. Stations of the Cross Friday evening at 7.30pm in Killashee. Holy Saturday, April 19th Easter vigil at 8pm in Killashee. Easter Sunday, April 20th Mass in Killashee at 10.30am and Mass in Clondra at 8pm. Confessions after all Holy week ceremonies.
Will take place in the Old School in Clondra on Holy Saturday, 19th April from 12 noon to 2 pm. Proceeds in aid of the outstanding dept on the refurbishment of Clondra Community Hall. Killashee Tidy Towns committee are hosting an American Yes Party in The Chestnut Tree, Killashee on Friday, 25th April. Music on the night will be supplied by Jivin Ivan and tickets are available from any committee member. The group will also be launching their Killashee Village and Area Enhancement Plan on the night of the American Tea Party. Your support would be greatly appreciated. If you would be interested in helping the Tidy Towns group by cutting grass, weeding, litter picking etc, please get in contact with the committee, they would be delighted to hear from you.
Results in Division 2 - St. Brigids took on Ballymore on Saturday, April 12th at 7pm in the club grounds in Killashee. Unfortunately it resulted in a 5 point win for Ballymore. The next match is against Carrickedmond away on Good Friday at 5.30pm.
The next Lotto draw is in The Camlin Bar, Clondra on Easter Monday 21st April for €6,020. The lotto team for The Camlin Bar is Amanda Stewart, Virginia Featherstone, Michael Skelly and Sean Sheridan. Forms for yearly lotto draw are available from the committee members for €45.
Registration of players is now due, €20 for non-players, €40 for players and €50 for families. Please give registration to Dan Magan or Sean Sheridan.
The club is collecting scrap metal. Any scrap metal you may have lying around can be dropped in to Liam Farrell’s yard in Clondra. In the next few weeks members of the committee will call to all houses in the area to collect any metal items. The only items not acceptable are tyres, fridges and televisions.
County Longford GAA Race Day is on Wednesday 30th April in Punchestown Race Course. Tickets €100- limited number available so get yours from any of the club committee members. Always a great event.
