VINTAGE SUCCESS - On Sunday last Killeen/Bunlahy community group hosted their second annual Vintage and static show and once again it proved to be a great success with great crowds attending throughout the day. A full list of sponsors and winners will be published next week and the committee wish to thank all who supported the event.

CARNIVAL TIME

Next weekend sees the Ballinalee carnival starting again with a host of stars appearing over the three nights and great entertainment for all. All proceeds go to the development of the Maguire Park so a visit to Ballinalee is a must.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to Phil and Kathleen Brady and family Ballymore on the death of Phil’s sister Mary Heslin in Finea at the weekend and also to Rose and Jimmy Reilly Ballymaurice and the extended McKeon Families on the Death of Pat McKeon Crott recently. May they rest in peace.

The organisers of the church gate collection for cystic fibrosis held in Granard last weekend wish to thank all who gave so generously. The total proceeds has been given to the organisation.

LONGFORD WIN

Congratulations to the Longford senior team on their great win over neighbours Roscommon in the division 4 final on Saturday last with a special mention for local man Bernard McElvaney who played his heart out for the blue and gold as usual. Well done to all.
