Scor

Congrats to Peter Hoey, Cloonmore for his great performance in the Connacht Scor competition, just pipped by the Mayo rep. Peter is becoming a really good balled singer and we wish him well for the future. Meanwhile, Peter will perform in Scor Encore on February 11th in RTE studio, Donnybrook. Some tickets left. Yoga classes

Berney Crossan RIP.

We send our sympathy this week to the family of Berney Crossan, Minard, Longford who passed last week. Berney’s family and many friends have been deeply saddened by his rather sudden passing. Even though Berney had been in some ill health in recent times we did not expect him to pass to his eternal reward. RIP.

Girl Guides

Girl Guides resumed on Wednesday, 15th January last. Brownies 6.45pm to 7.45pm. Guides 8pm to 9pm. Ladybirds Thursday 16th January from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Card game

Scramogue Church Restoration Fund card game which took place prior to Christmas in Leavy’s Lounge raised 2,361 euro.Thanks to all who supported, also thank to Kieran and Mary Leavy and all who donated items.

Lip Reading Classes

Lip reading classes will commence at the Ruskey Community Centre early in the New Year. For further details contact Patricia at 086-8534100.

Set Dancing Classes

Set Dancing Classes for children continue at St. Barry’s Hall every Thursday evening at 6.45pm. All welcome especially beginners. Contact 086-1522614.

Flowering Arranging Classes

Flower Arranging Classes will commence on Monday, February 3rd at the Old School, Ruskey between 8pm and 10pm. Contact Patricia at 086-8534100.

Club Registration

St. Barry’s Club registration took place at Barry’s Hall recently. If you have not registered, please ensure you do so as soon as possible. Fee as follows 20 euro child/student, 40 euro per adult, 60euro per family (children up to 18years). It is important that all members register without delay.

Ladies Circuit Training

Ladies Circuit Training in St. Barry’s Hall on Tuesday’s 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Sympathy

Dinner Dance

St. Barry’s GAA dinner dance will take place on Saturday, 8th March in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. Tickets will cost 30 euro and will be on sale shortly and are expected to move briskly, so get in early and purchase. Further details next week.
