Bowls

Our game with Ballymore was cancelled on Wednesday last, it will be rescheduled. The Westmeath singles was played in Streete on Sunday, 19th January and our club had seven representatives. Well done to all, Dean Victory made the quarter final and especially Sean Powell who went on to win the competition, defeating another Longford man Enda Murphy from the Streete club in the final. Well done Sean. Back to the league this week with round 10, both A & B teams play at home. Team A play Athlone in top of the league clash and B play Streete C. All players need to attend. On Tuesday 11th February both teams travel to Streete to play the D and B teams. Thanks to Streete A who travelled to Ardagh on Thursday last for a friendly, a good night was had by all.
