We offer sincere sympathy to the Jones family, Creagh, The Stewart family, Ballinamore and Glendenning family, Ballymacormack and all their extended families on the death of Jack Stewart, Killoe, which occurred over the past week. Jack was in his mid nineties and had enjoyed a long life of good health until recently. He was a very active member of the farming community and operated an agricultural contracting business from his home in Treanlawn. We also offer sincere sympathy to Michael Malone, Kenagh, on the recent death of his step mother, Anastasia Malone at Batterstown, Co Meath.

A very important meeting and seminar will be held in Saint Dominic’s Community Centre on Tuesday night, February 18th at 8pm. Wetlands Heritage Ireland hope to acquire a portion of cutaway bog in the not too distant future in the Kenagh area which will be discussed on the night.

Table prizes Mary and Tommy , Sean and Liz, Mary and Vincent, all win twenty euro each. The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto for February 2nd were 5, 9, 15, 18. There were two match three winners - Percival family, Corlea and Paddy Murray, Curraghmore, win forty euro each.
