Race Night - Local girl Emer Mulligan, travels to Uganda in July to work as a volunteer for A -Z Children’s Charity. She will be working on school and community health outreach projects that provide support and education for vulnerable children. Emer will also help build a house for an impoverished Ugandan family. Covering the cost of the trip herself,

Emer has a target to raise an additional €2,000 for A – Z Children’s Charity. 100% of this money goes directly to the charity, providing healthcare and education for deprived, AIDS affected children in Uganda. To help defray some of the expenses involved a race night will be held in Keogh’s on Saturday 14th May. Sponsorship cards are in local shops where all wishing to support this worthy cause have the opportunity to purchase a horse or jockey. All with sponsorship cards are requested to return same as soon as possible. We commend Emer on her endeavours and wish her well and urge all to support her.
