Rathowen lotto - Monday 4th April - No winner of the lotto for €15,000. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 18, 28. The numbers drawn for the second jackpot of €4500 were 2, 3, 15, 26. There was no winner of the jackpot. The six drawn winners are Jimmy Whelan, Peter Smyth, Paddy Gillheeney, Jim Hunt, Keeva Carthy and Olivia Loedar. The next draw is 2nd May 2011 and this draw will have two jackpots one for €15,000 and the next for €4650. The results of that draw will be printed next week.
On Tuesday the 3rd May in Rathowen Community Centre at 9pm a meeting will be held to try and get a drama group up and going. All interested please attend.
Rathowen / Streete Labour Party, are holding a victory function in the Fiddlers Green Streete on Friday 29th April. Music by Bernie Tighe and local artists. Minister of State, Department of Environment and Community & Local Government with responsibility for housing and planning, Willie Penrose will attend. Voluntary subscriptions are at the door, raffle and spot prizes are on the night.
Brian Crum & David O’ Hara are organizing a charity lorry pull in aid of the Jack & Jill foundation on Sunday the 1st of May all members are asked to turn up at one o clock at Feericks to do some marshalling thank you.
15 TONNE LORRY PULL
We are holding a lorry pull in Rathowen village on Sunday the “1st” of May. The pull is in aid of the JACK & JILL foundation it is starting at 2pm at Rathowen Church it will finish in Feericks car park where we will have a BBQ and music. All the lads are in serious training for this event so come out on the day cheer us all on and show your support for this worth while Charity.
ST FINTAN’S GAA
Under 10’s were playing on Thursday V Killoe in a friendly. They lost by 3-9 to 4-11. All played well for the first outing. Under 8’s had a Blitz on Saturday in Shamrock’s. We had two teams of 8 aside, we had mixed fortunes with a young side. They had a very enjoyable time. Under 12’s Play St Paul’s in Clonmellon At 7pm this Wednesday and Training is on Thursday in Bunbrosna at 7pm
