Notice

This is to advice the communities in the Dromard, Drumlish/Ballinamuck and Colmcille Parishes that: From the 11th November 2013, the companies of Dromard Development Association Ltd and Drumlish Enterprise Group Ltd. that sponsor the Community Employment Scheme in Dromard, Colmcille, Drumlish/Ballinamuck parishes, are amalgamating. This amalgamation came about due to a directive from the Department of Social Protection transferring all Childcare workers out from individual CE Scheme Sponsor Companies and into one specialised sponsor company in the county, resulting in the individual CE Scheme Sponsor Companies having to amalgamate. This initiative will result in enhanced training facilities and will maximise employment opportunities for all childcare workers in the County. The Volunteer Board of Directors of both companies, having agreed this amalgamation with the Department of Social Protection, will meet over the next 4 months to agree a change of name for Dromard Development Association Ltd that will represent all areas and Drumlish Enterprise Group Ltd. will be wound up by its Volunteer Directors. To facilitate a smooth transition with the amalgamation of the two companies the Participants/Staff from both parishes will be contracted to Dromard Development Association Ltd from 11th November 2013 to 7th November 2014. The Board of Directors and Staff of each company will then come together under the new name and will continue to be located in the GAA Clubrooms, Legga. The Staff/Participants will continue under the supervision of Thomas Gill from November 2013. While change is not always welcomed, this change, the Board of Directors of each company see, as an opportunity to adapt and best serve the achievement of our commonly held goals i.e. to continue to provide a community employment scheme in the parishes to enhance, update, develop and improve the infrastructure, facilities, environs and general well being of the communities we live in. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the support of all the communities since the inception of the schemes. Our special thanks to past Volunteer Directors who took on the responsibility of best practice corporate governance of limited companies, whose hard work and dedication in identifying and implementing the community projects which has enhanced all sectors of our communities and developed opportunities, training and skills to Participants/Staff. Dromard Development Association Ltd. would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to their retired Supervisor Aidan Reynolds, for his significant contribution to the company in providing guidance to all Participants/Staff, Management and supervising all of this with a cheerful and supportive attitude that gave everyone involved the confidence that everything would be done right.

Finally, the Board of Directors wish to thank all the volunteers who over the years assisted in the management of the Community Employment Schemes in Dromard/Drumlish. For and on Behalf of the Board of Directors of: Dromard Development Association Ltd &
